Chávez invita a la 12va cena de gala en donde se entregarán becas a la excelencia hispana y premios a líderes de gran prestigio y defensores de la comunidad. Dicho evento se llevará a cabo este jueves 20 de Octubre de 6:00 a 8:30pm en el centro Eberhard de Grand Valley State University, ubicado en el 301 W. Fulton.

United Way makes purchase of 642 Broadway building

LORAIN, Oct. 17, 2016: United Way of Greater Lorain County is acquiring a 10,000 square foot property located at 642 Broadway Avenue in Lorain from the City of Lorain for $125,000. The move was approved by United Way’s board of directors on Sept. 28 and Lorain City Council voted unanimously Monday night to approve the sale of the property.  

Ohio again exceeds goal for minority business purchases

COLUMBUS, Oct. 12, 2106 (AP): The state says Ohio has once again exceeded its goal for purchasing goods and services from minority-owned businesses.

Yemen se corona campeón del Noveno Torneo Internacional de Fútbol de Michigan

Luego de un intenso fin de semana de encuentros, este domingo 9 de octubre [de 2016], la selección de Yemen venció a Alemania con un marcador de 2 a 1, en un reñido partido; coronándose de esta manera, por segundo año consecutivo, como campeón del Torneo Internacional de Fútbol en Michigan. Es así como Alemania obtuvo el segundo lugar, Líbano el tercero y México cuarto lugar.  

Adelante, Inc. hosted its 21st annual César Chávez Humanitarian Awards at Fat Fish Blue at Levis Commons in Perrysburg on Oct. 12, 2016. Long-time community activist María González was the recipient of the César Chávez Humanitarian Award. The Amigo Award was awarded to CareNet.
