Latina links Toledo Diocese to Latinos

You could call Andrea De la Roca the Catholic Connector. As the Hispanic Outreach Coordinator for the Toledo Catholic Diocese, Ms. De la Roca spends her time interfacing with Latino groups and families all across Northwest Ohio, mostly on behalf of the Catholic schools across the diocese.   



Toledo Community Foundation awards $315,500 in grants
May 12, 2015: The Board of Trustees of Toledo Community Foundation, Inc., in conjunction with the Advocacy Committee of ProMedica, recently approved grants totaling $315,500 from the ProMedica Advocacy Fund to 24 area nonprofit organizations.

Pathway encouraging Latino students to apply for summer jobs

Latino teens and young adults now can apply for summer employment through the Lucas County Empowerment Program (LCEP), which is once again being administered this year through the nonprofit Pathway, Inc., formerly known as EOPA.

Cleveland Foundation announces Encore Cleveland Prize

May 12, 2015: The Cleveland Foundation today announced it is now accepting nominations for the inaugural Encore Cleveland Prize of the Cleveland Foundation. The foundation will award two $25,000 prizes, to one individual and to one nonprofit or public agency, in recognition of significant, innovative work that combines personal meaning with social impact and engages older adults in social purpose.


Bachata Superstar Luis Vargas and “Salsa’s Lion” Oscar D’Leon to headline 2015 Festival Latino

CAPA has announced the lineup of acts which will be headlining the 2015 Festival Latino. The two-day, family-friendly, free event will be held Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9, 2015, from 11 am-8 pm each day. Due to continuing construction in Genoa Park, the 2015 Festival Latino will again be held in Bicentennial Park just across the river.
