National health care leader to visit Northeast Ohio during Mental Health Month

Pamela S. Hyde, J.D., a national leader in mental health and recovery, is bringing her insights from 35+ years of high-level experience in health care and human services to Northeast Ohio for an event during Mental Health Month.

Hyde, the immediate past Administrator of the U.S. Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration, is the featured speaker for the Lorain County Board of Mental Health (LCBMH) 2016 Annual Luncheon. The event will be held on May 13, 2016, at 11 a.m., at DeLuca’s Place in the Park, 6075 Middle Ridge Road, Lorain.

“As the leader of a federal agency, Pam has been a firsthand witness to the recent, dramatic changes in the health care sector. She has knowledge about the changing state of mental health treatment and recovery, and can offer insights on what that means for people who experience and treat mental illness in Northeast Ohio,” said Charles Neff, LCBMH Executive Director.

The event is open to anyone with an interest in health care topics. For more details and to purchase tickets to the event, visit www.bit.ly/LCBMH2016.

LCBMH is the local public agency that plans, funds, monitors, and evaluates a system of services for residents with mental illness in Lorain County.
