Proceeds from the Race4Justice will help fund the Medical Legal
Partnership for Children (MLPC) to serve more children and
families. The MLPC, a project of ABLE, integrates legal
assistance as a vital component of patient care. The MLPC allows
medical providers to address the underlying causes of medical
conditions, such as lack of access to food, a moldy apartment,
the lack of special education services, and poverty.
Through the MLPC’s services, doctors and lawyers work together
to identify legal and social issues which negatively impact
child health and well-being, and address these issues through
individual and systemic advocacy.
Registration is currently open at www.Race4Justice.org. The
registration fee is $25. All registrants will receive a t-shirt.
