As part of Technology Month, free weekly Parent Computer Training Workshops will also be offered with both English and Spanish course offerings. The dates are: April 2, 3, 9, 10 (Spanish) and 29 with morning and afternoon sessions.  The courses are FREE and registration is required. Through the Parent Computer Training Workshops, parents will learn essential computer skills and how to use parent portals such as Gaggle and Parent Connect to become actively engaged in their students’ progress from home. Parents must register by March 28 for the workshops by calling (313) 240-4DPS or (313) 240-4377.

The goal of Technology Month is to empower Detroit Public Schools staff, students, parents and community members with facts and tools that will improve their understanding and increase interaction with technology information and devices used to protect and educate the children in the City of Detroit.
