Teddy bear check-ups are just the start of the day’s fun. Animal
demonstrations, keeper talks and more complete your visit.
You’ll be able to talk with the people who care for the Zoo’s
animals and learn just how they provide the first-rate care that
makes the Zoo such a great place for animals.
If you’re ready to take home a real live pet, Planned Pethood,
with an adoption station set up for the day in the Zoo’s Museum
of Science, will help you find just the right cat or dog. Visit

complete schedule of events throughout the day.
This is also a great time to check out the new
Reptiles exhibit at the Zoo’s historic Reptile House.
flying lizards, snakes and more, including a life-size replica
of Quetzalcoatlus northropi, a pterosaur which stood as
tall as a giraffe and had a wingspan of 35 feet.
Both the Teddy Bear Care Fair and Flying Reptiles exhibit are
