Cleveland Restoration Society’s 2014 Community Luncheon

The Cleveland Restoration Society announces Christopher M. Connor, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Sherwin-Williams Company, as keynote speaker for our 41st Community Luncheon.

Almost 150 years ago, two Cleveland entrepreneurs partnered to offer ready-made paint to “Cover the Earth” in full color.  They were on the cusp of the American industrial revolution powered by places like Cleveland, Ohio, an American Legacy City.  Over the course of more than a century, The Sherwin-Williams Company has remained loyal to its commitment to manufacture paints and coatings that protect all types of structural surfaces while calling Cleveland its global home.  The corporate headquarters of The Sherwin-Williams Company have been housed in the Landmark Office Towers, part of the Terminal Tower Group, since 1930.

Truly earning the distinction as a venerable Cleveland enterprise, The Sherwin-Williams Company is not only the number one producer of paints and coatings in the United States, but is among the largest producers in the world.

Mr. Connor will share with us the company’s abiding commitment to historic preservation as an economic revitalization tool.  Sherwin-Williams is known for its historic preservation color palette, introduced for Colonial Williamsburg under the Martin-Senour brand in 1965, and has been involved in preserving American and global heritage through its modern covering formulas.

The 2014 Community Luncheon will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2014, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the beautifully restored ballroom of the Tudor Arms Hotel in Cleveland’s University Circle.

Registration is now open.  Individual tickets start at $75 per person.  Table hosting and program advertising opportunities are available. Felicia Hall, Cleveland Restoration Society, 216-426-3110, felicia.hall@clevelandrestoration.org
