Toledo Community Foundation fund awards grants totaling Over $139,000 to nine nonprofit organizations

 

November 22, 2013: The Stranahan Supporting Organization of Toledo Community Foundation recently awarded grants totaling $139,583 to nine nonprofit organizations:

 

Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. – $24,415 was awarded to support the Mobile Benefit Bank program.

 

Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders Association, Inc. Northwest Ohio Chapter – $13,611 was awarded to support the Reynolds Road Adult Day Center renovation project.

 

BeInstrumental Foundation – $3,900 was awarded to support music education programming for low-income children.

 

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Toledo, Inc. – $15,600 was awarded to support the Family Stability Guidance Program, which offers families experiencing temporary hardships financial education and emergency assistance

 

Double ARC – $21,825 was awarded to support diagnostic and case management services for children with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Syndrome.

 

Friendly Center, Inc. – $20,600 was awarded to support the emergency food service program.

 

Maumee Valley Heritage Corridor – $14,132 was awarded to support programming that highlights scenic, cultural, recreational and historical sites across the Maumee Valley.

 

Partners for Clean Streams – $17,000 was awarded to support waterway cleanup projects.

 

Sylvania Area Family Services, Inc. – $8,500 was awarded to support basic needs services.
