“It is very gratifying to see the graduates perform so well on a
national level, and it is a testament to the strong educational
programs here at LCCC, as well as to the hard work the students
put into their educational goals,” said James Daly, program
director of LCCC’s Clinical Laboratory Science Technology and
Phlebotomy programs.
Kimberly Koch, 25 of Elyria, said she was happy to pass the exam but wasn’t
surprised, considering the intense training she underwent in the
LCCC program.
“My reaction when I found out I passed my exam was equal parts
relief and excitement,” she said. “Even though I was nervous to
take the exam, when it was all said and done I felt like we all
were taught more than enough to pass with flying colors.”
The small class sizes at LCCC made it easier to master the subject,
said Kerry Cullen, 25 of Lakewood.
“I received a top notch education at LCCC,” Cullen said. “The small
class size really allows each student to develop a relationship
with each instructor.”
