Science and Mathematics Teacher Scholarships
It may be the time to become a teacher if you have considered a
career in science or mathematics teaching. Professionals looking
to change career paths to become
teachers can do so with minimal financial commitment as the UT3
programs in the Judith Herb College of
Education at The University of
Toledo offer scholarships to become science and
mathematics teachers.
An informational session will be held Monday, January 11th,
2010, at 7:00 p.m. in Gillham Hall 3050 at The University of
Toledo, 2801 W. Bancroft, Toledo, Ohio,
43606.
There is a high need across Ohio
and the nation for qualified mathematics and science teachers,
with an expected growth rate of 12 percent between 2006 and 2016
according to the Ohio Bureau of Labor.
UT3 scholarship programs offer academic, professional, and
financial support for individuals committed to careers as
science and mathematics teachers.
