Lourdes College welcomes Hungarian delegation, Oct. 16
Last summer, Dr. Dariel Jacobs, Assistant Professor of
Education, and Dr. Paul Longenecker, Assistant Professor of
Leadership Studies traveled to Hungary as part of the Great
Lakes Consortium’s (GLC) American Summer Institute.
While in Hungary, Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Longenecker instructed
several groups of teachers and students in Szeged, Csongrad
and Veszprem on global learning and the English language.
As a follow up to the GLC’s American Summer Institute, a
delegation of 14 Hungarian visitors will travel to northwest
Ohio from October 15 through November 3, 2008. While in Ohio,
visitors will partner with Lourdes’ Department of Music and
Perrysburg High School in a music exchange.
On Thursday, October 16, 2008, Lourdes College, of
Sylvania, will welcome an international group to campus with a
day of activities that includes a presentation about fall in
Northwest Ohio by the Life Lab, a viewing of Theater Vision’s
production of The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley,
lunch at Café` Lourdes, and a tour of campus.
