UT’s
Department of Music welcomes Toledo’s own Frances Renzi on April
13
Toledo
native Frances Renzi will be the pianist for the final
performance of the Dorothy MacKenzie Price Piano Series for the
2007-2008 season. She will perform works from Chopin, Schumann,
Ravel and Mozart,
Sunday, April 13, 2008,
at
3 p.m.
in UT’s Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall on main campus.
Ms. Renzi will also conduct a master class Saturday, April 12 from
10 a.m.
until
noon. |

Other performers this season have included Pamela Howland, Teresa
McCollough and Lambis Vassiliadis. Ms. Renzi has performed
internationally and throughout the
United States.
She consistently enthralls critics and audiences alike. She has
appeared as a soloist with many orchestras including those of
Dallas, Houston,
Toledo,
and the New Hampshire Music Festival, and recently performed
recitals and gave master classes in
Taiwan
and
China.
She has recorded solo and chamber music for
Centaur, Educo, Koch
International, the Musical Heritage Society, Azica, Decca/Argo,
and Audite. An experienced teacher as well as performer, she is
Professor Emerita at The University of Toledo. In 2000 she
received a commendation from the Ohio Senate honoring her
outstanding university career of 27 years.
