The Dalai Lama is
recognized worldwide for his compassion and tolerance, his
promotion of human rights and inter-religious understanding, peace
through non-violent conflict resolution and advocacy for the
environment. Winner of the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize, the Dalai Lama
was the recent recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal.
Gelek Rimpoche,
a distinguished Tibetan teacher, founder of Jewel Heart, and
author of best seller Good Life, Good Death, says of the
Dalai Lama’s visit, “We are delighted to welcome His Holiness to
Jewel Heart and Michigan. His visit will uplift us during
difficult times and be like the great fortune of a blue moon for
spiritual practitioners of all disciplines.”
Jewel Heart,
