Position Announcement


The Social Work Department invites applications for Lecturer Position. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. The core duties for the position of Lecturer are primarily teaching, and include such responsibilities as: development of course materials such as syllabi, handouts, homework assignments, developing and delivering lectures, facilitating and moderating classroom discussions, evaluating students class work and assignments, serving on program committees and maintaining regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students. Other responsibilities may include serving as program director.


The lecturer must follow and promote the University of Toledo’s policies and the collective bargaining unit otherwise known as the “The University of Toledo Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board of Trustees for the University of Toledo and The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) University of Toledo Chapter for Lecturers.”


The minimum qualifications for this position are a master’s degree in social work from a CSWE accredited program and two years post MSW practice experience. Preferred qualifications, prior BSW- or MSW-level social work teaching experience and administrative experience in social work education or social work practice.

The position will involve teaching at all undergraduate as well as graduate levels within the Spanish program. Under the direction of the OMB Director, this position is responsible for performing complex budgeting and accounting functions; conducting financial, statistical, and analytical studies in accordance with all county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations. Conducts research and provides data findings and recommendations to clients and staff. Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. -4:30 p.m. Pay starts out at $22.11 per hour.


Minimum Qualifications


·         Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting from a four year college or university with one (1) year of fiscal analysis, accounting, or budgeting experience or Associates degree in Accounting or Finance with two (2) years of fiscal analysis, accounting, or budgeting experience.

·         CPA license and governmental experience preferred.

·         Valid Driver’s License with driving privileges in the State of Ohio and insurable driving record.
