The Social Work Department invites applications for Lecturer Position. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position. The core duties for the position of Lecturer are primarily teaching, and include such responsibilities as: development of course materials such as syllabi, handouts, homework assignments, developing and delivering lectures, facilitating and moderating classroom discussions, evaluating students class work and assignments, serving on program committees and maintaining regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students. Other responsibilities may include serving as program director.


The lecturer must follow and promote the University of Toledo’s policies and the collective bargaining unit otherwise known as the “The University of Toledo Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board of Trustees for the University of Toledo and The American Association of University Professors (AAUP) University of Toledo Chapter for Lecturers.”

Preferred qualifications, prior BSW- or MSW-level social work teaching experience and administrative experience in social work education or social work practice.
