College Wide Infrastructure Maintenance – Electrical

Project No. C20188004

 

Project Description

Cuyahoga Community College consists of a total of 11 locations, approximately 50 buildings and more than 3,200,000 square feet of space.

 

Given the College is over 50 years old, a large portion of the facilities infrastructure is aged and in need of repair and/or upgrade. A detailed list is maintained that identifies Infrastructure Maintenance (IM) projects that need to be performed to restore the infrastructure.

 

This Request for Qualifications is for Design-Build Services for the package that will contain the projects categorized as Electrical. There are eight individual identified IM projects in that package across four of the locations with an estimated Construction Cost of $2.5 million. Projects in this package include but are not limited to items such Auditorium lighting replacements, generator replacements, parking lot light replacements, breaker panel replacements.

 

The College chose a criteria A/E firm (R.E. Warner) earlier this year who is currently working on the criteria requirements (minimum SD level).  This information will be supplied to the short list firms.

 

Scope of Services for IM Electrical Package

As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: develop and maintain estimates of probable construction cost, value engineering, project schedules, and construction schedules; lead and manage the Schematic Design, Design Development, Subcontractor Prequalification and Bidding process, Construction Documents, Construction and Closeout stages.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES

College Wide Infrastructure Maintenance – HVAC

Project Description

Cuyahoga Community College consists of a total of 11 locations, approximately 50 buildings and more than 3,200,000 square feet of space.

 

Given the College is over 50 years old, a large portion of the facilities infrastructure is aged and in need of repair and/or upgrade. A detailed list is maintained that identifies Infrastructure Maintenance (IM) projects that need to be performed to restore the infrastructure.

 

This Request for Qualifications is for Design-Build Services for the package that will contain the projects categorized as HVAC. There are 47 individual identified IM projects in that package across four of the locations with an estimated Construction Cost of $6.5 million. Projects in this package include items such as air handling unit replacement and repairs, pneumatic device conversion to DDC, air handling unit piping replacement, VAV replacement, and cooling tower replacement.

 

The College chose a criteria A/E firm (Middough) earlier this year who is currently working on the criteria requirements (minimum SD level).  This information will be supplied to the short list firms.

 

Scope of Services for IM HVAC Package

As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: develop and maintain estimates of probable construction cost, value engineering, project schedules, and construction schedules; lead and manage the Schematic Design, Design Development, Subcontractor Prequalification and Bidding process, Construction Documents, Construction and Closeout stages.

 

Refer to the Ohio Facilities Construction Manual for additional information about the type and extent of services required for each.  A copy of the standard agreement can be obtained at the OFCC website at http://ofcc.ohio.gov.

 

Funding / Estimated Budget

Total Project Cost:  $8,600,000

Construction Cost:  $6,500,000

Notice of Public Hearing

 

The Board of Commissioners of the Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) is preparing to submit its Annual Plan 2019 to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2019.  The Annual Plan 2019 is available for review at LMHA’s Website (www.lucasmha.org).  LMHA invites you to submit comments during the next 45 days.  Please submit comments to cmorgan@lucasmha.org.

 

You are invited to a public hearing on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 4:00 p.m., McClinton Nunn Community Bldg., 425 Nebraska Ave., Toledo, OH 43604.  Interested citizens will be provided pertinent information regarding strategic goals and program activities of the LMHA.  Citizens are encouraged to attend this public hearing and provide additional comments on the Annual Plan 2019.
